The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK)

Use of the media to raise awareness of the problem of forced marriage in girls. AMWIK will lobby journalists to carry out programmes promoting the reduction of forced marriage of girls in Kilifi County.

Production of radio programmes listened to by children that address the effects of forced marriage on girls by highlighting risks to sexual, emotional, physical health and educational rights.

School-to-school competitions (poetry and drama).

The project will involve community members, including elders and religious leaders.
