Brighter Initiatives for Revitalization and Development (BIRD-Liberia) 2023 

The "School Before Marriage" project aims to educate and train 100 adolescent girls to become mentors. Ten pupils from 10 schools will learn about issues such as finishing school, avoiding early marriage and pregnancy, family planning and cultural traditions. Fifty vulnerable girls will receive financial support, 50 will receive supplies and another 50 will get reusable sanitary pads. The project builds on previous initiatives to educate adolescent girls about sexual health and encourage school completion. The aim is to empower girls and encourage their education.
